Wole is an experienced financial services professional with nearly 20 years in commercial and retail banking. He has driven market expansion, portfolio growth, and revenue performance while managing corporate portfolios whose ownership spanned Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He has built and led high-performing teams, launched banking desks for the Energy and Telecommunications and Retail Banking sectors, and guided cross-functional teams across multiple branches. His career is marked by consistent revenue achievement and strong partnership development. Now transitioning into technology, he combines deep expertise in business development, finance, and international trade with an emerging focus on tech-enabled solutions, positioning him to support operational excellence and sustainable growth in a digital economy.

David Airehrour serves as the Education and Technology Lead and Trustee at ConnectNZ Trust. He is a Senior Lecturer and Discipline Lead in AI and Analytics, with a Ph.D. in Computer & Information Science. David brings over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and industry innovation, specializing in Generative AI, Big Data, and ethical technology. He has developed award-winning machine learning solutions and is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance education and empower communities.

Bernard Soh

- Advisor

Bernard is a value driven leader whose career brings together deep community stewardship and extensive international business expertise. He combines the relational “heart” of his pastoral work with the strategic “mind” of commercial leadership to build sustainable, purpose-led projects. For over twenty years, he has served as an overseeing pastor in New Zealand, strengthening communities and fostering shared values. Alongside this, he has spent more than two decades in senior roles across the hospitality and consulting sectors, leading commercial strategy, market entry initiatives, sales and marketing growth, and China-New Zealand business development while building strong teams and partner networks.Over the past twelve years, he has also led the successful launch and branding of New Zealand made products including infant formula and premium pet food into complex consumer markets across China and Asia. His mission is to bridge community service with commercial strategy, ensuring every project is grounded in genuine human connection and supported by a resilient, sustainable business model.

What does ConnectNZ Trust do?

We are a community-focused charity that helps people build confidence with digital tools and basic AI skills. Our goal is to make sure no one is left behind in a rapidly changing digital world.

Who can join your programmes?

Our programmes are open to everyone — seniors, youth, migrants, families, job seekers, people with limited digital experience, and anyone wanting to understand technology better. We welcome all communities.

Are the programmes free?

Many of our workshops and community sessions are free, thanks to donor and partner support. Certain specialised programs may have a small cost, but we always communicate this clearly in advance..

Do I need any technical experience to participate?

No. Our programmes are designed for people with little to no digital experience. We teach step-by-step using simple language and patient guidance.
